Sportcomplex Universiteitsplein - Wilrijk
Beerschot’s own complex, Sportcomplex Universiteitsplein, is located barely 5 kilometres from the Olympic Stadium. It is the first team’s training location and the training and playing location for the youth teams.
The complex lies next to the University of Antwerp in Wilrijk in a woody environment. The site is divided into a professional and youth part. The youth part consists of 3 football pitches, with one natural grass pitch and two artificial pitches. The main pitch has a covered stand with room for hundreds of spectators.
Note: Complex rebuilding
The youth academy is one of the club’s cornerstones, and Beerschot continues to constantly develop the top sport climate on the Universiteitsplein. Minor conversion work is taking place at the moment. According to the plans there will be thorough renovation and rebuilding from the 2020-2021 season.
