Preview KV Kortrijk – Beerschot Men 13 Feb Tomorrow's big match against KV Kortrijk is on the schedule. We look ahead with our experienced midfielder Genki Haraguchi. With a four-point gap between the two teams, the importance of this match needs no further emphasis. After the winter break, Beerschot managed to close part of the gap on Kortrijk and tomorrow they will be looking to take another three points off them. "It doesn't matter who we play against, we always take to the pitch with the ambition to win. We know that Kortrijk has a lot of quality, especially in attack. With two players who have already scored more than ten times, the danger can come from different sides. We will have to be alert to that," said our 34-year-old Japanese player.

With an impressive 11 out of 15 points, Beerschot had a strong start to 2026. Nevertheless, they are still four points behind tomorrow's opponent. Kortrijk have had a bit more difficulty achieving results since the turn of the year, but remain particularly strong at home. ‘Like Beerschot, Kortrijk has a loyal fan base, and that often makes the difference in this competition. This calendar year, they have won all three of their home games. However, we are in good form and are travelling to Kortrijk without pressure but with a lot of confidence thanks to the results of the past few weeks,’ Haraguchi continues.

A win would allow Beerschot to make the battle for direct promotion extremely exciting again. "That's true, but to be honest, we're not thinking about that. There's no point in looking ahead. Of course, it would be great for the competition and our supporters if we made it exciting again, but for us, the most important thing is that we deliver a strong performance as a group in Kortrijk. The fact that we could potentially reduce the gap to one point is an extra motivation, but it's certainly not our main driving force," concludes Genki.

See you tomorrow at 8 p.m.: Kortrijk – Beerschot.
