Tom Pietermaat will not be playing for Beerschot anymore. The 29 year old midfielder decided not to fulfill his running contract that expires in June 2023 with an option for another year. The club regrets Pietermaat's decision as he featured in our plans for the near future, which was repeatedly made clear to him during recent talks.
Tom Pietermaat joined the club in 2014 and was an inspirational member of the squads that won promotion from Division 4 to Division 1A. During that period he also bacame the supporters' favourite player. Pietermaat played 168 gamers for Beerschot, 57 of them on the highest level.
Beerschot thanks "Tommeke" for his professionalmism and effort during those eight seasons and wishes him well in the future.
