Another new player for Beerschot: 20 year old striker Thibo Baeten joined our club today from Dutch side NEC Nijmegen. Beerschot enforced an option to buy the player at the end of the season when his contract expires.
Baeten played for Torino's U19 team in Italy on loan after a spell with Club Brugge NXT in Division 1B. "That means he knows how football is played on our level, and that is a bonus", technical manager Sander Van Praet knows. 'Thibo is a striker who fits the bill in our coach's high intensity approach. He is extremely motivated to start the season with us."
"Beerschot means passion and emotion, just what I like in football", Thibo Baeten said after signing his one year contract. "Those are the main reasons why I opted to come here. I was overwhelmed when I entered the Olympic Stadium through the main gate for the photoshoot. I reckon Beerschot is going to be the perfect club to continue my career."
