SIX WINS OUT OF SIX AWAY
Patro Eisden - Beerschot: 0-2
Beerschot really seem to be unstoppable right now. On Friday night Andreas Wieland's troops recorded their sixth out of six away victory by beating Patro Eisen 2-0. Michez and Konstantopoulos scored the two important goals after a neat performance.
The home team were lucky that ref Allaert didn't send off Sam Elisha for a blatant foul on Thibaud Verlinden's ankle after just five minutes. Despite Eisden's over eager approach it was Alhassan who had the first scoring opportunity but his shot went wide. But at the other end Sam Elisha replied almost immediately but Matijas covered his low shot. Then Beerschot took control convincingly and when Verlinden overran his opponent on the left side Michez hit the target at the far post.
Charly Keita finally scored his first goal in a Beerschot shirt just before halftime but the linesman disallowed for offside. Wrong decision TV coverage showed. However, Beerschot scored their second goal early in the second half: Matthys' corner was headed towards the Patro goal by Alhassan where Konstantopoulos pounced with a good shot. A great goal in which our three central defenders were involved. Two-nil and the game as good as in the bag after 50 minutes.
Our Mannekes consolidated the score with Weymans, Michez and Keita getting good chances to score more goals. But goalkeeper Belin denied their efforts. In the dying seconds Matijas made sure he kept another clean sheet with a brillant save from Hadj-Moussa.
