Gianni Chiffi replaces Pieter Jabobs as Beerschot's new Head of Performance. The 26 year old Belgian joins our club from RWDM where he was their physical coach during the last three seasons. 'I am grateful for the chance Beerschot offers me", he says.
Gianni Chiffi was born in Aalst and joined RWDM at a very young age. "I went through their Youth Academy until I started my studies and returned afterwards as physical coach in their youth department. One year later I was asked to join the first team set up in the same capacity", he recalls.
"RWDM gave me the opportunity to turn my hobby into a permanent professional job. But I am ready for a new challenge now even when I was the only member of the recent sacked first team staff that could stay on at the club. Here at Beerschot I can build up my career again from scratch."
"I am quite close to the players in my job, always trying to make them better physically. I am a believer of an individual approach based on input of data with custom guidance. In my opinion that is the key to optimal performance."
