Board member Jan Van Winckel is satisfied with Beerschot’s new acquisition. “This is an important step in the extension of our daily management team. Youth manager Davy De Smedt has reorganised our Academy, technical manager Sander Van Praet structurized the daily operational work, while doctor Nick Jansen and Pieter Jacobs optimalised the medical and scientific approach within the club.”
“But that is not all. Our head marketing Finn Van der Kaa realised a couple of nice projects, and together with Luther Rommens our media team has made incredible progress. For the last two months Beerschot can boast with the largest growth margin on social media in Europe. And that is quite an achievement.”
“Frédéric Van der Steen is our latest jewel on the crown”, Van Winckel continues. “With his experience he will be supporting our talented collaborators and help them to develop further. With this latest acquisition we have to adjust our operational structure. Beerschot’s new management committee will now consist of chairman Francis Vrancken, general manager Frédéric Van den Steen, technical manager Sander Van Praet and academy manager Davy De Smedt.”
“Our former general manager Gunther Dieltjens will preside this committee. Gunther, who has been leading the club ‘pro deo’ for the last two years, cannot be thanked enough for his work and commitment and will remain an important person within the club.”
“This season Beerschot has proved it has a big and loyal fan base but also ambitious and loyal partners. Frédéric Van den Steen will continue and confirm this line to make sure everyone will feel ‘at home’ at Beerschot”, Van Winckel rounds off.
