Weeks after Beerschot were awarded the Pro License for their first team, our club now also got the Elite Youth License in the bag. With a high score on top.
"It has been a hard and difficult season for our coaches and all members of our Youth Academy", Beerschot Youth Academy Davy De Smedt acknowledges. "Getting this License is a nice reward and very satisfying for our motivated and hard working team. We can only be very proud with this achievement. And we will keep working relentlessly to get even better."
Beerschot's Youth Academy set up new development projects last season, with Individualisation being the key word. As a correct and personal accompaniment is a big bonus in the development of our youngsters.
"We will keep working at a bigger and even better frame", De Smedt continues. "Broader as well, with co-ordinators, graduated coaches, video-analysts, a mental coach, study accompaniment and improving infrastructure possibilities. Creating a top sport environment is a long term job, but we certainly are on the right track here. Hence our big attraction power. More and more players and coaches want to become part of our Youth Academy. Hopefully we will be able to promote our better youth players to our first team squad in a couple of years' time. Because that is our ultimate goal."
"At the moment we are satsfied with our spot in the "Youth Elite 2 Division", but we aim higher. It is our ambition to win promotion to the "Youth Elite 1 Division" with our Academy as soon as possible. Backed by our vision and the investments from the Board of Directors this is no longer a dream buth an achievable goal."
