Beerschot appoints Thorsten Theys as operational lead

Beerschot appoints Thorsten Theys as it’s new operational lead. Theys will start his new job today at the Olympic Stadium. He will ensure a smooth transition after CEO Frédéric Van den Steen leaves the club at the end of this week.

"We are proud to appoint somebody with the experience of Thorsten Theys at Beerschot", majority shareholder United World says. "Thorsten has a wealth of experience in Belgian football. For more than three seasons he led all operations at KV Oostende. He knows the local context of Beerschot and the Belgian Pro League. This makes him a perfect candidate to lead the operations at Beerschot and help to plan the investments on the Academy and on the first team for the next season in 1A."

“I’m very happy to accept this position in a club with a rich history and strong fanbase", says Thorsten Theys. "I see a lot of opportunities in this club, especially given the recent promotion to the first division. I can’t wait to contribute to this new chapter and start this fantastic challenge united with owners, management, employees, fans and business partners.”
