LEO SEYDOUX SIGNS ON LOAN FROM WESTERLO
Beerschot have added Léo Seydoux to their first squad for the new season. The 24 year old Swiss defender signed an "on loan" contract until the end of the 2022-2023 season, with Beerschot obtaining an option to sign him on a permanent basis.
Seydoux came through the Youth Academies of FC Remaufens, FC Bulle and FC Fribourg before joining Young Boys Bern where he played his first game fort he first tem in 2018. In 2019-2020 he went on loan to Neudhatel Xamax, one season to VC Westerlo. At Westerlo he played 29 games in Division 1B and was part of the squad that eventually clinched promotion to Division 1A.
"I was chuffed when Beerschot showed interest in me", Seydoux smiles. "I immediately got a good vibe when visiting the club. And it is nice that Beerschot have by far sold the most season tickets in Division 1B. I look forward to playing in front of their enthusiastic and ardent supporters. My expectations? For a start I know how it all works in the Challenger Pro League. The only question mark is the how the youth teams will present themselves and the role they will be playing."
