Gyorgy Csepregi officially informed Beerschot today that he wishes to leave the club. The technical director will make a transfer of his files and scouting work in the coming period. Beerschot would like to thank Gyorgy for his passion, hard work and achievements over the past two seasons.
Csepregi was appointed technical director of Beerschot in August 2022. Before that, he was part of the scouting team at United World. Csepregi was instrumental in putting together the team with which Beerschot forced promotion to first division this season and took the title in the Challenger Pro League.
"I personally feel very sad to have to close the door behind me here after two years," Csepregi said. "I thoroughly enjoyed the two seasons here at Beerschot and would like to thank everyone in and around the club for the support and passion they showed during that period. Beerschot will always have a special place in my heart for me. I wish the club a lot of success in the future."
“We don’t like to see Gyorgy go”, shareholder United World says. “We want to thank him for the outstanding job he has done at Beerschot and we have everything in place to ensure a smooth handover. The technical budget for new players is aligned. The first priority is getting clarity on the head coach and technical staff and then moving quickly on possible transfer targets.”
