Cercle Brugge - Beerschot 3-1
Beerschot have been knocked out of the Belgian FA Cup by early goals in each half. A well taken strike from Thibaud Verlinden brought some new hope but the home team ultimately were the better and stronger team on the night.
Cercle Brugge had a perfect start when Kevin Denkey scored but they didn't build on it and Beerschot took over control for a while without creating any chances. On the stroke of half time however Thibaud Verlinden scored an equaliser after a nice run on the left and a brilliant finish.
It all turned sour in the first five minutes of the second half when Cercle scored twice and put te game beyond Beerschot's reach. Our Mannekes were down and out, unable to fight back, with a Thorisson shot in the side netting being the only threat in a very disappointing game.
