In the late hours of the transfer window Beerschot completed the 'on loan' signing of 19 year old Ecuadorian Mosés Caicedo from Premier League club Brighton and Hove Albion. The defensive midfielder will be on Beerschot's books until the end of the season.
During last winter's transfer window Caicedo left his home club Independiente for Brighton after also Manchester United and Newcastle United had shown interest to sign him.
"With this move to Beerschot Mosés can gain experience and develop further", our technical manager Sander Van Praet reckons. "He is an intelligent player with good passing abilities and a good shot."
At the moment Mosés Caicedo is on international duty with Ecuador where he will be playing against Paraguay, Chile and Uruguay. Immediately after that he will return to Belgium and join in at the training sessions at Beerschot.
