HOME GAMES AGAINST AA GENT AND CLUB BRUGGE BEHIND CLOSE DOORS

Beerschot will play their final two league games of the season - against AA Gent and Club Brugge - behind closed doors. Our club has aborted its appeal procedure against the original punishment imposed by the Belgian FA after crowd trouble during and after the derby game against Antwerp on December 5th 2021. That appeal against the ban had a a suspensive effect which allowed Beerschot to play their home games against Zulte Waregem, KV Kortrijk and Charleroi with fans in the Olympic Stadium.

The reason for aborting the appeal procedure is to prevent an eventual increase of the ban, which will allow us to start the new 2022-2023 on a clean slate.
