On the first day of Beerschot's Winter Training Camp in Spain 23 year old Dante Rigo signed a contract until the end of this season, with an option for another year. Rigo played for PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch Premier Division and immediately joined the training sessions in Spain.

Dante Rigo  is a central midfielder who was a member of Lierse's Youth Academy until 2007 and then joined the PSV Academy at the Herdgang in Eindhoven, where he made the break through to "Jong PSV" and eventually the first team squad. Last season he was on loan at ADO Den Haag and played 11 games. In total he played over a hundred games in the Dutch Premier and First Divisions.

Rigo is also a Belgian youth international. As a member of the U17 squad he featured in both the European and World Cup Finals. In 2015 he won the bronze medal with Belgium after beating Mexico in the 3rd/4th place play off final.

"I strongly believe Dante wil be an asset to Beerschot's midfield the coming months", technical manager Sander Van Praet reckons. "We were looking for a young Belgian in that position and he fits the bill perfectly."
